Grading Policy

The final grade for this course will be based on the following categories

  • ​Attendance: 5%

    • Each 1 point ​penalty will be given to each missing after the first two absences

    • Absent with doctor's note is acceptable

  • Project: 25%​

    • Each 2 (or 4)-member team is expected to carry out a design/implementation project​

  • Homework: 20%​

    • Four homeworks: ​5% each

    • All homework must be submitted to instructor in the beginning of the class

    • No ​late homework submission is allowed

  • Exam: 50%​

    • First exam: 15%, second exam: 15% and final exam: 20%​

    • No makeup for missing exam. Exception: medical issue, doctor 's note must be submitted

  • Grading Scale​

    • A: 90-100; B: 80-89; C:70-79; D:60-69; F: ​59-0
